It’s time to give that blank wall some love, and the good news is we are here to help! Art is so subjective which is why it is the perfect way to inject your space with loads of personality. And not just any personality; yours. So whether you are a minimalist, a maximalist, or anything in between, we have some inspiring ways with wall art to share with you. Let’s start curating.

But first, a quick word on placement

There is plenty of wisdom about the best way to hang art, but don’t be afraid to go rogue and experiment. Sometimes symmetry works, but that’s not to say an asymmetrical arrangement can’t look equally as chic. It can certainly add an element of surprise to think outside the box and your chosen wall might call for an entirely different approach than the ‘rules’ suggest. However, generally speaking, slim portrait-oriented pieces look best on a tall narrow wall, while broad landscape works complement a wide short wall.

Neutralist

This is a an absolutely stunning gallery wall and décor dream come true for the art- loving neutrals lover. This is a tightly edited colour palette that is very much anchored in soft black and white with an occasional pop of colour to echo the other decorative objects on the dresser. It keeps interest by mixing mediums, frames and sizes. Completely dreamy. If you are unsure where to start with a gallery wall, start small. In this image, the gallery wall is defined by the space above the console.

In the Pink (or blue, or green…)

Find a colour you love and dedicate your gallery wall to it. Bonus points for painting your wall in the same colour range. This blush and pink toned gallery is both sophisticated and fun. Not every piece is perfectly aligned, but the whole look is pulled together with confidence and the end result is surprisingly chic - especially when paired with that iconic French style chequerboard floor. Even when most of the colour in your room is on your wall, be sure to include other décor items such as cushions or rugs to tie your gallery to the rest of the room.

Worldly Walls with Vintage Prints

This collection just really works. The vintage travel prints are pulling down double duty here, as they add some striking images along with plenty of intrigue. Vintage style travel prints tell an irresistible story about you and your space, as well as giving plenty of opportunity for conversation and opportunities for wanderlust. They work particularly well in so-hot-right-now retro styled spaces, as well as coastal homes. If you have a more contemporary style but still want to jump on the look, vintage style art with a French vibe always look good. Take me back!

Eclectic Feel

This gorgeous gallery is basically a masterclass in how to pull together a gallery wall that is utterly eclectic, as well as simultaneously on-trend and classic. Finding the sweet spot between contrast and cohesive is key to mastering eclectic style. In this space, mixed media, mixed styles keep it interesting, while a consistent colour theme and those perfectly balanced proportions keep it cohesive and harmonious. Swoon.

Large Scale Love

Did somebody say “high impact”? This epic, bold piece is making quite the statement in this already exquisite space. The surrounding décor might be on the classic side, but this contemporary piece of art brings the whole space into 2019,
and looks damn good doing it. Work this look in your own space by hanging a single piece in a defined space. It doesn’t have to be floor to ceiling, but a single large artwork above a couch or console is a timeless look that always works.
