Minimalist Interior Design Style

Getting back to basics.
Minimalism, take it back to basics.
It’s time to clear out, tidy up and downscale the décor to bring sleek, fine minimalist lines into your home. Minimalism and clutter aren’t friends. To get this design aspect right you simply have to spend time deciding what is necessary and what is not.
Born from Japanese interior design, Minimalism isn’t only brighter and more airy, it’s healthier simply having less ‘stuff’ to catch dust. Minimising furniture and décor does not have to leave you with a hollow shell or a boring, bland space. Choose interesting or designer pieces to attract attention, however, every piece you choose should have a purpose. Nothing useless can exist in a minimalist space.
When trying this décor style in your home, it’s important to remember that less is more. Use your space as a bland canvas, adding little by little to express your own style at it’s core. Minimalism lends itself to Scandinavian, contemporary, organic and industrial decorating styles.
