Inspired by nature, the Hamali Block Side Table is handmade from reclaimed teak, combining the warmth and character of beautifully aged teak with modern style.

This piece is made from reclaimed teak, selectively salvaged from fallen down old Javanese buildings, that has naturally aged over decades of exposure to the elements.

The natural tendency for teak is to patina beautifully into a silvery-grey look, which develops over time in natural conditions, including sunlight and ambient moisture.

Reclaimed wood has natural characteristics and distress such a textured surfaces, knot or nail holes, borers remnants and diverse planks that can create a slightly uneven surface and natural shifting or cracking of the table. Slight irregularities may occur in size and finish specifications.

As with any natural material, existing fluids and moisture can leech over time, which may cause stains on some surfaces. We do not recommend placing natural timber items directly onto carpets or rugs. If placing timber pieces onto carpet or rugs, the occurrence of a timber stain can be avoided by simply using a protective liner.

None of the above is viewed as a fault; Uniqwa embrace these changes as the natural characteristics and beauty of timber furniture.

Please be aware that there will be a wait of approximately 3-5 months for all Uniqwa orders as goods are manufactured on demand, not in bulk. Due to the artisanal process involved, your order cannot be cancelled.

Every Uniqwa piece has a story...

Uniqwa Collections are mostly individually hand-made pieces. As most of the products are made from natural materials, elements such as texture, colour, and pattern may vary piece to piece.

Reclaimed timbers, naturally weathered materials and off cuts otherwise discarded are frequently part of the Uniqwa design features. Natural splitting, cracking, and loss of natural oils may occur and form part of the characteristics and beauty of Uniqwa products. These are not viewed as imperfections or faults, rather part of the natural life and beauty of timber.

We believe the use of natural materials and hand-crafted elements result is a testament to the unique qualities found in materials originating from nature.

As every monitor displays different colour tones, the colour of pictures on our website and social media cannot be taken as a true colour indication of the actual products. Some product's tones may appear to vary from catalogue or website images.
