Blondes have more fun!

Blonde timbers in your home decor are making a comeback!
Dark woods may be the classic and regal image you call to mind when thinking about timber décor. However, blonde woods have seen a resurgence in popularity since 2014 making a refreshing comeback. Blonde makes homes feel bigger, brighter and far more welcoming.
Blonde floors create a clean slate to work with. This particularly lends itself to minimal or Scandinavian design. They are typically easy to transition with changing styles and colour palettes too.
Go for furniture made from blonde wood like birch, elm or beech and designs with clean, minimalist lines. Mix it up with quirkiness and splashes of colour, through textile patterns, décor items or rugs.
Blonde timber floorings and furniture give a sense of history and character to any interior and can flow on through all areas of the home. Though for that modern look, keep things well polished, add metal embellishments and white linens or leathers.
For a less sleek look, you can definitely channel an organic or boho décor theme using driftwood or recycled timber instead of plantation. Timber decor items or ceiling beams that are rustic, untreated or polished add texture and bring your home closer to nature.
Remember to source your timbers sustainably.
